Orkhon Valley Ger Camp

Traditional gers in the Orkhon Valley, UNESCO World Heritage site. Seasonal operation during the warm months.

Traditional gers in the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, a short drive from Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu monastery. Open in the warm months, June to August, when the valley is green and the families around us are making airag.

The camp is deliberately traditional: felt gers, wood stoves, a shared dining ger, and horses from the neighbouring families for riding along the river. It is the base for Kharkhorin, Tuvkhun Khiid hermitage, the Orkhon waterfall and, in July and August, polo in the valley.
