Premium travel to Mongolia, guided by the nomadic code. We built the first premium travel company in the country and have welcomed guests from forty countries ever since. Bloomberg and Salesforce have featured us. YPO and EO trust us. Five hundred guests have come home with us as kin.
Rara Avis started with three guides, one Land Cruiser, and a conviction that Mongolia deserved a premium operator run by Mongolians who actually grew up here. We were tired of foreign companies selling an idea of our country to people who would never meet anyone from it.
Ten years later we are the operator Bloomberg, YPO, EO, and Salesforce send their people through. Four properties, four expedition regions, one ranger team, and a forest in Arkhangai that we plant every spring. The guides are still the centre of everything.
In the old Mongolian law of the steppe, the guest is sacred. The fire is lit before you arrive. The bowl of milk tea is poured before you ask. The door of the ger is never locked, because you were expected.
We have been opening Mongolia to travellers for ten years. Not as a vendor. As a host. Every route, every camp, every guide we place in your path is chosen by this single law.
