4D3N is the core programme: 3 days of festival, 1 cultural excursion day to the Genghis Khan statue and a nomadic family, and 1 wind-down night at Big Sky Lodge before flying home. 5D4N adds a full day at Gorkhi-Terelj National Park — half-day horse riding, Turtle Rock, hiking — and an extra night at Big Sky Lodge.
The glamping, cultural day, and Terelj programme (5D4N) all run regardless. The festival-pass cost is refunded directly to each guest. A contingency reserve is built into the programme for weather-driven schedule changes.
Typically dry and 18–24 °C in central Mongolia during the day. Evening temperatures on the steppe and in Terelj can drop to 8 °C. Bring layers and a warm fleece for evenings.
Yes. Naadam runs 11–13 July — we offer a 4–5 day extension covering the opening ceremony, wrestling, horse racing, and archery. A 4-day Gobi fly-in extension is also available. Message Rara via the contact block below.
Breakfasts, the arrival-day lunch, the excursion-day picnic, lunch at the nomadic family, the Terelj picnic (5D4N), and the farewell lunch are all included. Dinners are on your own account — the festival has multiple food vendors, Big Sky Lodge has a full restaurant, and there are good options en route.
A staffed camper van stays at the festival site at all times for valuables and bulky luggage. Large suitcases can be left at Big Sky Lodge and reclaimed before departure.
